Rob & Sherelle met in the way all couples meet these days – Hinge. After some back-and-forth chatting and a shared interest in sushi, Rob worked up the nerve to ask out Sherelle for an irl date.
When the day of their first date came, Rob picked a bar in Ormewood Park with the best slightly dirty martini in town to impress Sherelle. When he showed up, the place was packed for a stand-up comedy night and the “stage” was situated right through the front doorway. As Rob walked in looking for Sherelle, he was quickly horrified that 100 people were staring right at him.
Quickly retreating outside, he waited at an outdoor table hoping to catch Sherelle before her turn on stage.
Unfortunately, he looked away at the exact wrong moment, only to realize Sherelle was opening the door to go inside. Without fully getting into the restaurant, she closed the door and briskly walked down the sidewalk, where Rob caught up and introduced himself.
After a shared laugh due to the embarrassment, they wound up going to a different bar down the street with a much worse martini, but the company and conversation that night more than made up for it.
From that date followed many more exceptional dates with good food, great laughter, and the building of something special. Rob and Sherelle shared common interests in traveling, walks around the neighborhood, and suspense/thriller TV shows. Rob had a feeling about the potential of this relationship, but played it super cool while Sherelle was just totally head over heels.
When it came time to pop the question, there was only one place with a very mediocre martini to do it, back where it all started. For some crazy reason, Sherelle said yes, and the rest is history.
We are so excited and honored that you all have chosen to celebrate our love with us this weekend.
Love, the Joys
